Review: L'Oreal True Match Concealer

Friday, January 3, 2014

After cutting my mac select cover up in two and squeezing the very last drop of product I could get, I decided it was time to buy a new concealer. I went to boots and bought the L'Oreal True match concealer in number 2 called vanilla for 10, 49€, I had heard a lot of good opinions about this product so I thought it was worth a try. It comes with a sponge tip applicator which is so practical for under eye circles, the consistency is amazing, it goes on smoothly and gives a nice bright look. My under eyes tend to get really dry so it's very hard for me to find a concealer that doesn't cake up on me and this one definitely doesn't. It stays put and doesn't cake up. It's my favorite concealer I have ever tried, I love it a lot more than the mac select cover up mainly because my mac concealer had a tendency to accentuate my dry parts under my eyes. Overall, I think this is an amazing concealer, with a nice yellow toned color range and I would recommend it to anyone.

Reflections.

Tuesday, December 31, 2013

Another year has gone by and it's time to start fresh again. 2013 had a rough start but ended really well. A lot of things happened, I graduated from school, I got a big operation, I moved to a different country alone and I did a makeup course. As far of resolutions go, I just want to continue growing and learning, and since I got my kindle for christmas I want to read a lot more. I'm excited for this new year ...... :). Also, I'm very grateful to end this year with 624 followers, thank you so much :).

Topshop purchases

Wednesday, November 27, 2013

So I went to topshop yesterday which I never do because I find it so expensive. Somehow I found myself looking through the gorgeous clothes and accessories and bought this lovely hat and this lovely set of rings. It's not much but I'm very happy with both of them and it's always nice to know that you do own a few items from topshop :)

Sick ..

Monday, November 25, 2013

I'm not feeling well at all, I think I've got the flu :(, so I've been watching Christmas movies in my bed ..  Anyway, the coat I'm wearing in this picture is from Zara and it's my favorite clothing item at the moment. It was expensive (125€) but totally worth it, it keeps me sooo warm and I just love it !

Lush ..

Friday, November 22, 2013

Since I moved to Dublin, my dry skin and eczema have come back at full force; so a few weeks ago I decided to take a trip to Lush to pick up products with natural ingredients in the hope that it would clear my skin. Previously, every time I had gone to Lush I felt a bit overwhelmed and lost because there were so much products and I didn't know what half of them were  used for, but this time I knew what I wanted so it was a lot easier and clearer to shop. The shop assistant did a little trial on my hand using these 3 products which are excellent for dry skin.

♥ Dreamwash : The first product is Dreamwash and it's basically a body wash but it makes your skin feel amazing. It's also great for sunburns because it has calamine in it which soothes the skin :)

♥ BodyButter : Now this is my favorite product of all three. It's basically a skin conditionner; after you use Dreamwash you apply the bodybutter on wet skin while your still in the shower and then rinse off. Now it does leave a oily texture on the skin but I don't mind it at all because my skin is so dry. I love the way when you come out of the shower you don't feel "squeaky clean" but nice and moisturised. I am definitely repurchasing this again.

♥ Dreamcream : This product is the best seller at lush and it's a body moisturizer. It is very good but for me it's too light. I like thick creams and this is more of a fluid. I think it would be amazing on normal skin. I do like the product but as I said it's not thick enough so I won't be buying this again.

Hot chocolate ..

Wednesday, November 20, 2013

♥ I'm soo excited because the christmas lights are finally lit in Dublin, spotify have their christmas playlist set up and it's starting to get a lot colder here. All of this calls for hot chocolate's in nice cafe's or at home and feeling all snuggly and cosy :). This is my favorite time of year by far and I can't wait for christmas ! It's in these times that I feel so grateful for having a family to spend christmas with, this year I'll be going to Cardiff and I can't wait. What are your plans for christmas this year ?
